4th of July Weekend

With some days off work (yay 4th of July! Happy Birthday America!!!) I want to spend all my time outside, and thank goodness the weather cooperated. So here’s a recap of the fun that’s had when you don’t have to sit all day at a desk!

Got up and did a nice ride over the George Washinton Bridge, with it’s huge, beautiful, American Flag hung up, and up River road. Total of 36 miles done.

After an awesome morning ride, we got to enjoy an afternoon of Fireworks, friends, drinks and swimming…

And Friday some beach time… Cause with the way it’s been raining, any nice day should be spent at the beach

Ride

After some serious struggles with the bike rack, and leaving the Saturday morning instead of Friday after work… We headed up towards Hunter Mt for our weekend of Triathlon Training. Got a total of 27 miles in, the hardest ride I’ve done to date! Super hilly and hurt so good!

Halfway through the ride, we stopped to swim, but decided to go to a different lake instead… so just took some photos instead:

Swim

After the Ride, we got in our Swim, which… I need some practice on before we do our Olympic Triathlon. Def ok with the sprint distance, but the sucky swimmer that I am needs to focus and practice.

Here we gooooo.....

And of course, we had to finish the day with a run! Only 2 miles, but sheesh, that was enough

Sunday, after a Saturday night of delicious beers and some cheese at Last Chance, grilling and more beers, we got up and planned out day 2 of our bootcamp. Another run, another swim, and a bike ride that didn’t happen… but we still managed to do a lot. Talk about a PERFECT weekend!
